However, PokerStars, which already has casino and sports betting services, will have the Exchange service in its catalog for platform customers. In short, PokerStars said it will offer “variety, action and value” to its customers.
Being called the PokerStars Exchange, the service will feature a peer-to-peer betting system, similar to the system of Betfair Exchange, a leading sports betting brand, which is also owned by Flutter Entertainment. Therefore, Flutter chose to offer the Exchange service within the largest virtual poker house in the world, PokerStars.
Commenting on the new service, PokerStars Brand Product Director Richard Garrod said this action was taken to bring new products to PokerStars customers. In addition, Garrod noted: “We’re always looking at ways to bring PokerStars players something new, and to be able to do that in collaboration with our colleagues over at the world’s largest betting exchange is a huge privilege. Our research suggests that our customers would welcome the addition of an exchange product, with 70% of current sports bettors saying they want to get involved.”
The PokerStars product director then said that the PokerStars Exchange service will bring a new experience to the sports betting market. However, Richard Garrod noted that the company had worked for months to be able to offer this new service to PokerStars customers.
“The PokerStars Exchange gives our players access to a brand-new sports betting experience alongside a global community of sports fans, with all the convenience of a single account and wallet. After months of hard work and execution, we’re thrilled to offer PokerStars players this addition to the PokerStars portfolio.”
Therefore, customers who already have access to PokerStars will be able to access the new service, the PokerStars Exchange, after logging into the PokerStars Sports portal. PokerStars stated that the new features will offer a greater chance of profitability compared to traditional sports books.
